Today the sad news reached us that actor Christopher Jones has died at age 72. Christopher blazed his way onto the silver screen in 1968 in the American International film about youth rebellion, Wild In The Streets. He seemed to have everything at 26, including sensitive good looks, adoring fans and a steady stream of film offers. His blond, stunning good looks made him every gay man's fantasy. Later that year Jones landed a major role as a British officer in David Lean's 1970 epic Ryan's Daughter. That was to be his last major film however. Jones turned his back on Hollywood and not even as prominent a director as Quentin Tarantino was not able to lure him back onto the screen, although he did accept a small role in a film produced by a good friend. An excerpt from Wild In The Streets featuring Jones' singing is uploaded at the end of the feature. He'll be missed.
